Recently alot of not-good things happened to my nephew.
Fits, Insonmia because ... and fever....

It has been a tough 2 weeks for my brother and da shao.... both of them are mentally and physically drained out and i feel for them.
Even though they keep saying things like "i'm tired, i need a walk or a rest" or "i really dunno wat to do", but they didn't give up...

As for me, during that 4 or 5 sleepless nights looking after Louis, i was really also very tired. Imagine how tired is it for them for 1 week plus?

Everything will be fine. There will be rainbow after the rain.

On the other note, KOI milktea is very nice.

Gotten this blog skin from blogskins.com and i did some editing to move the items more to the left and exchange the position of the dog and the snail.

I find this blogskin simple and nice.
I always find simple things better than complicated stuff.
Perhaps i am a simple-minded person. HAA.

School starting. This holiday is short.
Most of the time spent with l4d shopping and playing l4d, and also the event of the year which is going Bangkok with my buddies.
Did met up with army guys for a soccer session and some dinner sessions too.
Not forgetting the MrFreeze og outing to TopOne and also dinner at the EmpireState.

I guess the May-to-Aug holiday i shall find a job to earn bucks. Then plan to go Bkk again. Who want to go?

What have i done in year 2009?
2009 isn't really a eventful year for me... but still as my own tradition i shall try to list out what happen during 2009 ba!

1) ORD-ed on 6th Jan 2009. Left the camp after shouting ord during street soccer.
2) The fall of my desktop computer. And didnt recover.
3) My Uni grade goes up. Improvement.
4) Lucy was sick and needed a operation to remove the womb. Was veri worried.
5) Bought MSI Wind netbook so that my Fujitsu laptop can stay at home.
6) Attended NUS SOC freshman orientation as group leader.
7) Sessions of kbox with the l4d. (as a collective name to call them ba)
8) Chinese new year steamboat with the army guys. We cleared up all the food.
9) Participated in inter-faculty games: frisbee, as vice-captain.
10) Went Bangkok with Buddies! Its really fun!
11) Bought 16 t-shirts in Bangkok.
12) Sick on the 3rd day in Bangkok. Still go shopping after that.
13) 1st time trying foot massage, in Bangkok.

Looking forward to the soccer session with my army frens and it turned up to be a undesired one. Fitness dropped as if i have never gone through NS before.
To add salt to the wound, i have a calf cramp and have to be carried out by 7 or 8 guys. Bad. Really bad.

Additionally, the way to start the day disappointed me too. Keep reminding myself to slot my student ez-link card into my wallet and in the end i ended up paying $15 for a adult ez-link card. Don't know what am i doing.

In the night ended up with a flu while playing mahjong. Argh.

I seems to be more pessimistic rather than optimistic nowadays. I still unable to climb out of my own well no matter it is about academic (i still can't catch up with the pace) or others.
2009 is ending soon and i hope with the start of a new year it will be a better year for me. 2009 isn't really a good year for me i guess.

I'm still considering whether to keep this blog.....

Was on the bus 857 to Suntec yesterday in the early evening to meet my army friends for steamboat dinner.
It was raining, the bus was 1/4 filled with passengers and it was quiet.
With my favourite mp3 playing in my ipod, i discovered that peacefulness can be so simple. It was a long ride, perhaps around 50min but i don't find the journey long and boring.
Thoughts was circulating in my head and i started to daydream...

Then i started to think, we shouldn't always put on high hopes for things that we want to achieve. Or rather, we should keep our expectation low sometimes. Hence, you will feel the surprise when you got back the result, regardless its for school work or any other stuff.

I wanted a iphone in the past. I got myself Samsung F480.
I wanted a MacBook. I got myself Fujitsu.
Don't really sound great?

How about...
I wanted Nokia 3210. I got myself Samsung F480.
I wanted Lenovo. I got myself Fujitsu.

We don't always get what we want. Thus, appreciate what you have is important.

I hasn't been dedicated to my studies yet and this october i'm having a full plate for my assignments and projects. I have 3 assignments to be completed and 2 of them need a great deal of research to be done.

On the other note, i have 4 or 5 birthdays to tend to. This October is really financially stressful and time-consuming.
Fortunately, i only have only 2 final exams to work with and i'm glad with that. Exams are the most awful period of the semester as you are always surrounded with books, books and still books.

I realize that i'm good in hiding. Yea. I bet i am. I guess sometimes humans still need that bit of privacy. (No worries! A small thing ya)

I have lost interest in blogging. I'm those kind of people who don't like to express their internal world to the public. I'll swallowed those emotions and try to digest them myself.

But then, i'm really really very bored. Thus, i decided to post something new here after nearly a month.

This holiday can be consider a hell, or a heaven to me.
In my previous post i have plans such as getting a job, working out, revising some materials for studies, fixing my desktop and revamping my blog or my website.

But, i guess i didn't fulfilled them ya. Only went for a run once, having problems with my desktop. Most of the time, i am either idling or i am sleeping or i am watching drama or i am playing games.

Additionally the soccer season has ended in MAY and only starting in August, further adding weight to my boredom.

And now, the events that i'm looking forward to are:
- Eating Mango and Fish! Harry's and Sh's Birthday!
- FOW (Freshman Orientation Week)
- Jess's 21st birthday!
- Jaz's 20th birthday!
- Jiawei's birthday!

The feelings of seeing your close one suffer is just too hard to swallow.
Lucy started "dieting" since Monday and we thought she was just getting sick of her food. But we find out it isn't the case when she even rejected human food. And the sight of her bloated stomach get us wondering. So we brought her to the vet on wed and it diagnosed that she is having womb infection. Thus after the blood test and x-ray a surgery is expected.

After the blood test is out the vet said that it might be a problem as Lucy is having some "OLD" dogs' norm of liver and kidney problems. The kidney problems are more worried as the vet is scared that Lucy can't stand the surgery and the options that she gave us is:
- Go ahead with the surgery with only 20%
- Put her to sleep...forever...

We took the gamble. We go ahead with the surgery.
I was sosososososososososososo worried....
But good news, the surgery was a success and she woke up soon after the surgery.
She has been eating well and doing fine after a few days.

Phew. I still want her to be by my side.... it was lonely without her.
The habit of looking under the table before moving my chair.... walking to the kitchen afraid of stepping on her pee... the urge to call for her to come to my side....

Haa. i guess if the day comes. i will cry like hell. lol.

Recently deleted some of my webpages that is around 9 to 5 years old.
This happened cause some hongkongspy go google and digged out them.
Not that i don't want people to see.. but that they are so old that sometimes i forget that such websites existed.
I still wondering why i go delete.. hmm... maybe i'm so shy to let people know my past or what i have done in the past?

Even more funny that hongkongspy even go printed out my profile page using the printer in the SCHOOL... and i blur blur go take the paper together with him, not realising something is wrong as how come he suddenly print A3 size paper?

My desktop for no reason suddenly broke down. Not really broke down but stuck at the BIOS screen and "Detecting IDE drives". Well, i tried to plug out the IDE devices and the problem still occurs. I was so lazy to fix it and i'll wait till the holidays then see how ba.

Watched "The curious case of Benjamin Button" and its a great movie. It reminds me of a movie that Andy Lau cast in, as he aged tremedously fast. Although the difference is that one aged backwards and one aged forwards, i believed that the lesson to be learn is to cherish whatever you have now and do whatever you want. In both movies i guess they live to their fullest and with no regrets. WAIT. how come i am getting emo! haha just kidding. I'm just appreciating the movies u noe.

25th Jan - Overnight Mahjong session at Harry house with kl, ric, jw and louis.

26th Jan - At home sleeping. Didn't go anywhere.

27th Jan - 2nd day of cny. Prawning session with kl, ric, harry, sy and wl. Then steamboat for dinner.

30th Jan - 6Sir ex MP steamboat dinner at ANG's house.

Have been busy with things in the school.
Been planning the timetable and alot of things screw my timetable up.

At first was planning for a friday off.
In the end i was unsuccessfully in bidding 1 of the tutorial i want and it ended up on the friday.
Nevermind. I go change other module's tutorial together with my friend.
Then, again i can't get the slot that i want. Nevermind. I go change again.

Then, i didn't get any tutorial slot for this module and all are full.
I was like... "wth? Tutorial vacancy is less than lecture vacancy?"
Went to appeal. Finally get the timetable settled.

arghz. Have to work hard this semester liao. Taking 4 modules + English
so i can be more focus.

Although serving NS is really boring and f up, but it depends how you really think of it. During my BMT and MP training phase, i felt that its really really really boring and waste time. But during my last few months in NS (including as a disruptee) i find that... its actually not as bad as you think.
I have no complains over my time in NS, enjoyed meeting new people, enjoyed the accompany of many people. Its the experience that makes you mature, think better and grow up.
My rating for my NS for this 2 years : 8/10

It has been a long year for me.
Alot of events have been going on and i'm exhausted.
Straight after disruption from army i went back to studies. And after exams i went back to army. There's basically no holidays for me thru out the whole year.
Has been meeting a lot of new people, going to a lot of places and experience a lot of incidents.

The stress of studying has put me down. And i'm trying to pull myself up.

So what i'm hoping for 2009?

1) Great improvement in studies
2) Change in some prospect of my personalities (lazy.. etc)
3) More money
4) To experience more events (whateva)
5) Good health to everyone

Was really busy with exams... but in the end i still screw 1 paper terribly.. and need luck to pass another. I was only confident in one of the paper which is my programming 1102c. Haha... My debut with NUS is so bad.

久违了的期中考试却重重的打击了我的信心。。。
虽然有很多人也和我一样，但是这滋味还真不好受啊!
数学不是我的最爱，我能及格就谢天谢地了。我就得了20/40..
还有那杀人不偿命的电脑组织。。。我只得了26/100..

电脑组织，是一个非常艰难的课程。。这次的期中考试应该有70%的人不及格吧。。

这让我安慰了一些。。。

昨天考了经济原理。。。我不知道会考得怎样。。。
这星期五将会有电脑程式语言的期中考试。。。。
在 NYP 这个项目是我最拿手的。。。但是来了大学我还真是班门弄斧啊。。。

说来说去，都是当兵的祸水。。。
当了两年的兵，我反而变笨了，变迟钝了。。。
年底的假期又得服完我剩下一个月的兵役。。。
最近电费又会起 21%，牛奶又没得喝，真的是 WTF?

我今年二十三岁。还是大学一年级学生。
朋友们都说我看起来像三十岁，不过我认为我像十八岁。
如果我的皮肤没那么黑，我会看起来更年轻吗?

最近我哥哥的女朋友送了他 PS3 做为生日礼物。好好哦!
这也代表我也会忙着帮他玩了哈哈。

这几天都没有在读书。我决定明天开始要温习了!
不然我下个星期一的测验就完蛋了!

Unlucky day. Hurt my toe when trying to balance myself while tripping on the stairs.
Went to the toilet to clean the blood and wound. Pain.

Anyway, quite a busy weekend for last week.

Saturday morning went for Inter-Faculty Games 2008 and played in the ultimate frisbee, which we came in 4th...
We played against 5 teams in total...
1st Match - SoC vs Dentistry. We won 4-2.
2nd Match - SoC vs Sci. We won 5-1.
3rd Match - SoC vs Law. We lost 5-0.
4th Match(Semi) - SoC vs Med. We lost 5-0.
5th Match(3,4th) - SoC vs Eng. We lost 5-1.

In the evening went Jumbo Seafood restaurant at East Coast with family.
Food not really so good anyway.

Sunday evening went to Jiawei's gf, Liling's 21st Birthday.
Me, kl, ric and Harry wore NYP t-shirts trying to outcast sy and waileong lol.

Quite a busy week....

Today already Wednesday.. and my schedule as below

Wednesday 11am - 5pm Lessons. 7+pm meet yc and chris for dinner.
Thursday 10am - 6pm Lessons. After that got frisbee training.
Friday 2pm - 6pm Lessons. After that meeting army frens for dinner.
Saturday evening - Dinner with family.
Sunday evening - Jiawei's gf bbq.

I .... now seriously think whether i should serve the balance of my NS in December or should give myself a 1 month break, then serve the NS next year.

And not stuck with the 37 days with the saf.

Well, not that i want to complain.

But could they be more flexible like for those who can't ord before the start of the school term, release them everyday for study and they just come back after their studies to stay in for the night.
Since, by right, you have completed all trainings and slacking in the camp.

In that case, it won't make life difficult for ppl!

And i should have ord together with most of my platoon...

School Life isn't really enjoyable as you think...
Everyday lecture... tutorial... lab...
Even no lesson also nid to do tutorials... assignments...
Even on the train to school my brain is working on a programming assignment..
Even after school also stay back to do a assignment that is killing me...

I want holiday! A month or two that i can forget about studying!

I want lots of $$! Lots of them until i get everything that i needed!

I'm dreaming.

Some of the modules i can't catch up.
MA1301 - Maths. My weakest link.
EC1301 - Econs.. Average.
CS1105 - No Problem
CS2100 - KMaps, learn before.
CS1102C - Sh*t, i nid to brush up.

Looks like, i hav to work really veri hard liao.
Try to finish tutorials before going.
Try to see the lab qns before going.
No more skipping of lectures.

No longer in IFG soccer. I not in the team. The guys all veri gd.
Now just have to concentrate on studies.

First week of lectures started whereas tutorials and labs will start only on the 3rd week.

Its been 2 years and a few months since i have actually study and i can admit that i have problems with 2 modules. Its normal, i guess, since maths has been the subject which i don't really like. Looks like i have to work hard on it already.

Applied to participate in the inter-faculty ultimate frisbee and soccer.
Went for the 1st session of relax game for the soccer... its a group of internationals....
Well, have to work hard if i want to be in the team... hmmm..

Have to say the culture in NUS is different.... all the people attending the lectures are paying real attention... unlike me dozing off at the back rows..

Also met up with army mates for dinner and get to know what's happening back in the camp..
Quite a busy week i can say.. and the tutorials and labs haven't kick off yet!

The orientation week has ended.
For the 7 days of long hours activities and outings with my group, i'm completely tired and shag.

But nevertheless, this group is great.

Jonathan is a great OGL who knows alot (Although he quite naggy)

Jesslyn is the AGL who don't behaves like 19yrs old (Kang Cheong spider)

Chris is helpful and a great guy (Very devoted to his gf)

Freshmans - Jesreel, Mitzi, Magdelyn, John, Ken, ChingLee, Belinda (All line up according to their punctuality on the 1st day)

What did we do in the orientation week?

1st day - Ice breaking games, outdoor games and activities
2nd day - Outdoor games, Telematch
3rd day - Freshman Inauguration Ceremony, talks and game
4th day - Flag Day
5th day - Games, talks and banner-making
6th day - Games, talks and finale dinner
7th day - Rag Day

We went kbox 2 days in a row...
We everyday like go home very late (from 11pm to 2am)

And next week school will be starting... haiz...
